A few posts ago,
I mentioned the book featured in the movie Beetlejuice,
in which Charles and Margaret Maitland (played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis)
cross over by driving off a covered bridge and drowning. They return to their
house and begin living in the attic, where they find a book titled Handbook for the Recently Deceased. If you haven’t seen the movie, I strongly
recommend it as a light-hearted romp through the afterlife. And, of course,
Michael Keaton’s character, Betelgeuse, is a riot.
I thought how neat to find a book like that. Pity it
doesn’t exist. Then the light bulb went on in my head and the rest is
history. And, as promised, I did write it and it’s just about ready to send to
my publisher. Of course, the book manifests here on the Earth Plane as a
physical object, but on the Soul Plane, it will exist as an Etheric book (or
e-book) that a newly crossed person can “grok” in its entirety, to give them a
roadmap of what lies ahead for them.
Imagine you’re a newly arrived
spirit on the Soul Plane. The book tells you:
- Who you really are – a vast, ancient
soul who incarnated into a new human body to become “you” and to live your
life to garner growth and experiences on behalf of your soul.
- How you meticulously planned that life,
including when and how you would end it and return to the soul plane, or
Home.
- The steps you took to leave the Earth
Plane, whether slowly through illness or suddenly through accident or
murder.
- All the ways you actually might have
crossed over, and how easy and painless it was.
- For those left behind, how and why they are
hopefully celebrating your time together rather than grieving your loss,
’cos you ain’t lost. You now know exactly where you are.
- About the adjustments you will need to
make now that you have arrived on the Soul Plane.
- Wonderful, glowing descriptions of what
the Soul Plane is like, and what you have to look forward to.
- And finally, about life over here and
how it’s all about creativity, learning, growing and finding neat ways to
serve Creation.
So,
hopefully you now hold no fear about how it will be for you. In fact, you
should be thrilled for your future.
The book
ends with these words:
“Please
remember that as souls, you all co-planned your lives together, including the
time and means of your respective crossings back to the soul plane. You all
planned it and signed off on it, but, of course, you’ll miss having your loved
ones in your new life, so a little nostalgia for them is okay, but hopefully
they are not grieving too badly because that holds you both back. Instead,
encourage them to celebrate your life and accomplishments, and give thanks for
your time together. You’ll all be back in cahoots with each other in no time.
“So, have no
fear for yourself as you anticipate the wondrous journey ahead to a new life
filled with love and joy. Soon the memories of your limited, worn-out physical
body will recede, and it will have as much significance as your second-grade
pencil case. After your review, orientation and Welcome Home party, you will
look and feel better than you have ever felt since birth, with a whole slew of
new senses and faculties, surrounded by the love and warmth of your soul
family, and a whole world of new opportunities for growth ahead.”
It will be a
while before the book is available through Amazon, but I’m intending to get it
printed so you can order direct through my website: www.deathwithoutfear.com.
I hope you
have as much fun reading it as I had writing it.
